I am having trouble. I got a referral from my primary doctor to go to a pain clinic, but my insurance doesn't have anyone within 30 miles of me, so they said they'd approve someone outside the network. But I've called probably 7 or 8 different places (some of them more than once when I got transferred around) and the places I've found either a. don't accept outpatients (inpatient only - hospitals) or b. refuse to even consider taking the approval from my insurance.

I don't know what to do, and with the weather changing, I'm in a lot more pain than usual. Does anyone have any ideas?

I really want to apply to a PhD program, but I don't think I can get any letters of recommendations for a number of reasons. Well, although I finished my MA, I wasn't very social with professors. I rarely visited office hours and didn't really do anything above and beyond to deserve a professor writing me a letter. The professor who I worked closely with wrote me a letter of recommendation that I can use when applying for jobs and said that he'd be happy to tweek that letter when I do apply for PhD programs. Anyone else in the same boat as me? What were some of the things that you did to still apply?

Hey Everyone.
So I was wondering if anyone knows if I can use just a regular SD card for my invacare chair to save the settings. My displayhas a slot for a SD card. Of course when I called invacare they only want me to use theirs. So any insight would be great. Thanks!

Folks may already know about it, but I just ran into it and thought that was potentially useful as heck. Do other providers do this too?

Seems slightly less horrible than deaf relay calls, and much more portable if using a videophone.

My students are quietly reading the short story, "Everyday Use," by Alice Walker. I love my fourth block. They are so sweet and attentive. They do everything that I ask them to do, and I only have to ask and then give them a reminder look. :) Next door, a ninth grade teacher is reading aloud to his class. He's right in the middle of To Kill a Mockingbird where Cal calls Atticus home because there's a "mad dog" in the street. :)

My third block drives me batty. I don't know what to do with them, but I do know that I'll be super glad when the semester is over and I get rid of their rude butts. They are ungrateful, rude, and impatient about everything. They feel that they are entitled to things, and they just have zero regard for others and their feelings. Blows my mind.
